The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.

Reflection

The Heart is the reflection of our love

I often try to take stock of my life based on all the things I have acquired over the years. It is in those moments that the material things do not have much merit or meaning for me, since I am aware that they are only material effects and, just as they came, they can just as easily be no more. But what strikes me is that my life will not change with the presence or absence of such material things. On the contrary, if there is one thing I am truly proud of, it is choosing and walking the path of the Lord day by day. Many times we are motivated to think that our possessions give meaning to our lives. However, when the latest gadget gets damaged or we lose something valuable, we realize that what satisfies and endures is our relationship with the Lord. Let us ask the Lord to help us see clearly what we should really value in life.
